Saving Events

Saving events in CudaEye gives you a fast way to find them again later. And as long as you don't have too many, it also locks the Saved Event into your archive, assuring it will not be deleted.

To save an event, launch the video player by clicking on the video control. To the right on the bottom you will see an EVENT icon. Click on it to launch the SAVE EVENT dialog.

The Save Event dialog has three fields: title, text and tags. The title and text are obvious, the tags provide you a way to easily group events together by a common theme or idea. You will be able to search over all these values later to bring up the event(s). You can also narrow the time frame of the event to a small part of the video by dragging the start and end time tabs. This will make it easier to identify the exact portion of the event you referenced later. If you click ADD the event will be saved. You can EDIT after saving or just exit via the X on the upper right.

To use saved events, either click on the SAVED EVENTS tab in the upper right, or enter text or tags to search for events. You will get a list a events matching your query. By clicking on you can view the details, and bring up the related event for playback. To edit, bring up the event and click the event tab, where you will have an edit button. You can delete events in the event detail screen.
